MINSK. February 1. KAZINFORM The Collective Security Treaty Organization will not interfere if internal political problems emerge in the Organization's member states. Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Nikolai Bordiuzha made the statement after a video conference held on 1 February to discuss the CSTO operation in 2012. The video conference connected Moscow, Minsk, Kyiv, Astana, and Yerevan and discussed results of the CSTO operation in 2012, BelTA has learned.

"I've never heard of any arrangements saying that a CSTO member state can dispatch forces to suppress some internal processes. We distance ourselves from suppressive functions. Under no circumstances has the CSTO leadership implied that the CSTO potential can be used to participate in suppressing mass riots or resolving some internal political problems in the countries," stressed the Secretary General.
