CU and EFTA member states negotiate trade agreement in Geneva

MINSK. January 14. KAZINFORM /Aituar Mamlin/ First round of talks free trade agreement between the Customs Union member states and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) is underway in Geneva, the press service of the Belarusian foreign Ministry reports.

The CU and EFTA member states work on development of a new trade agreement based on principles and rules of the World Trade Organization. The agreement will allow to extend the potential of trade and investment cooperation with the EFTA states. It will also provide the Belarusian enterprises with an opportunity to access the markets of the EFTA on more favorable terms.
