Culture Minister Aida Balayeva meets Kazakhstanis in Saint Petersburg
Kazakh Culture Minister Aida Balayeva paid a working visit to Saint Petersburg, and met with Kazakhstanis and the creative community, Kazinform Agency reports.
The minister met with Kazakhstanis to debate the development of joint promising projects and directions for further cooperation. Well-known opera signer Aliya Kikenova was awarded the Shapagat medal for her contribution to the development and strengthening of the country’s independence.
Addressing the creative community, the minister said the Ministry promotes Kazakh culture abroad, including in the sphere of literature, music, art and cinematography. 2024 will hold the Culture Days of Kazakhstan, exhibitions, concerts and master classes abroad. Minister Balayeva confirmed her readiness to help Kazakhstanis, permanently residing in Russia, to appear on stages and attend exhibitions in Kazakhstan and show their creations. One such project is the participation of compatriots in the Zvezdy Shakena festival next May.
On Friday the minister is expected to take part in the IX International Cultural Forum to debate pressing issues in the sphere of culture and art. The forum will bring together more than 70 countries.
