Customs Union to set up free trade zone with Vietnam
The Belarusian head of government stressed that the relevant political decision had been already adopted. "I have discussed these issues with Vladimir Putin. The Vietnamese Premier has had the relevant contacts with the government officials of Russia and Kazakhstan," Mikhail Myasnikovich said.
In the near future Belarus hopes to team up with Vietnam to develop new breakthrough areas in agriculture, industrial production, exports and imports of goods, training. It is essential to develop cooperation in these sectors on the innovative basis and in this regard, the establishment of joint research centers is important for the parties, said Mikhail Myasnikovich.
In turn, Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Tan Dung added that the free trade zone of the Customs Union and Vietnam can be set up as soon as possible. Vietnam looks forward to further cooperation with Belarus in the field of production of engines and trucks, agricultural products, in training. The countries are set to significantly strengthen interregional links.
During the talks the Prime Ministers identified new joint projects, defined a strategy for interaction in the international arena.
