Czechia expects closer ties with Belarus in SES

MINSK. May 4. KAZINFORM The Czech Republic expects that the Single Economic Space (SES) of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia will open up new opportunities for expanding cooperation with Belarus, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Milan Hovorka said on 4 May reviewing the recent Minsk session of the Belarus-Czechia mixed commission for economic, industrial and sci-tech cooperation, BelTA has learnt.

Milan Hovorka noted that some Czech companies might change a cooperation strategy towards Belarus and act as investors relocating production to Belarus or the Customs Union member states, BelTA reports.

"The talks in Minsk helped better understand coordination mechanisms. We will try our best to explain to Czech companies the essence of the Customs Union. It is important for Czech companies and the Czech Republic that the Customs Union should open up new opportunities for the bilateral cooperation," he said.
