D. Nazarbayeva and S. Naryshkin discussed relevant directions of inter-parliamentary cooperation

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The parliamentary delegation headed by Deputy Majilis Speaker Dariga Nazarbayeva held the meetings with Head of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergei Naryshkin, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation A. Zhukov, head of the committee for budget and taxes A. Makarov, head of the committee for security and anti-corruption I. Yrovaya and with the head of the committee for CIS affairs, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots L. Slutsky within the official visit to Russia, the press service of the Majilis informs.

"The purposes of the visit and held meetings were the experience exchange in the fields of countering new challenges and threats in financial, tax and budget spheres and development of cooperation in the most relevant directions of inter-parliamentary cooperation," the statement reads.

The Russian parliamentarians expressed their readiness to cooperate in the largest range of issues.

Special attention was paid to discussion of the issues of development of the tax legislation, cooperation of the Parliament with the Government and the other state bodies, joining of efforts to counter new challenges and threats in the financial sphere.

Both sides noted the importance of cooperation of the legal bodies of the two countries in the sphere of exchange of information and synchronization of the legislation work, especially since the beginning of the activity of the Eurasian Economic Union.
