Damu Fund to reconsider orienting points for business development at municipal and rural level - Bulat Mukushev

ASTANA. December 14. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ The Damu Fund intends to reconsider orienting points in order to focus on development of business at the municipal and rural level. Chairman of the Board of JSC «Entrepreneurship development fund «Damu» Bulat Mukushev has said it at an international conference entitled "Small and medium business in Kazakhstan: status and prospects" in Duman hotel.

"Another important purpose of the Fund in the nearest years will be assistance to entrepreneurship development at the municipal and rural level. We know that about half of the population of Kazakhstan is rural residents. If we look at all our programs and all means allocated for their support, then about 90 percent of all funds was directed to cities, first of all, to regional centers and two our capitals. Hence we need to elaborate new programs focused on rural entrepreneur", B.Mukushev emphasized.

"But we should not duplicate programs which have been suggested by other national institutions such as "KazAgro", we must turn on fields and segments which are not covered by the state support. This is service, transport, trade, processing and others", he added.
