LONDON. KAZINFORM - Former England skipper David Beckham has announced the creation of a fund for kids jointly with UNICEF to help children suffering from violence, abusive treatment or disease, TASS reports.

"Over the coming years I am going to work with UNICEF to raise millions and speak out for children all over the world," the former soccer player being a UNICEF goodwill ambassador since 2005 says. "Everything I have done, my soccer career, my family, has led to this point - this is the moment for me to do what I can to help children in every corner of the world. This is something I want my own children to be proud of," Beckham adds. The Fund "7" is named after Beckham's squad number in England and Manchester United teams. In 2013 David Beckham announced the end of his soccer career, during which he had played for Manchester United FC, Real Madrid CF, AC Milan, LA Galaxy and Paris Saint-Germain FC.
