Death toll in Texas military base rampage rises to 12

MOSCOW. November 6. KAZINFORM. At least 12 people were killed and 31 wounded in a shooting at the Fort Hood military base in the U.S. state of Texas on Thursday, CNN reported; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.

The base, the largest one in the U.S., reportedly attacked by three people, is locked down now. One of the attackers has been killed.

All victims and suspects were soldiers, CNN cited U.S. Army officials as saying.

U.S. President Barack Obama, speaking live on TV, called the shootings "a horrific outburst of violence"; Kazinform cites RIA Novosti.
