Decision on 15% increase in railway tariffs likely to be reviewed: Minister Akhmetov

ASTANA. January 15. KAZINFORM /Zauresh Balkenova/ Today at the sitting of the board Kazakh Minister of Transport and Communications Serik Akhmetov has declared possible correction of the decision on 15% increase in tariffs in railway sector, Kazinform reports.

?In this connection flexible anti-crisis tariff policy will be worked out?, S. Akhmetov said. The Minister reminded of several investment programs initiated at the last January session. In order to provide their financing a decision on tariffs rising was adopted. Thus, in railway sector it was decided to raise the tariffs by 15% annually for the period of 5 years that would allow to form a KZT 887 billion investment capital. S. Akhmetov considers "it will be quite a feasible and right decision for forthcoming years?.
