Defending champion HC Saryarka out of Bratina Cup semifinals

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Defending champion HC Saryarka crashed out of the Supreme Hockey League (VHL) playoffs race on Thursday, Kazinform refers to Sports.kz.

The Karaganda-based club trailed 0:3 in the semifinal series going into the Thursday's game. Unfortunately, Saryarka players were unable to extend the Bratina Cup playoff series against HC Toros and lost 2:0 in Neftekamsk. The first period of the match was goalless. Alexei Mitrofanov and Samson Mahbod of Toros gave their team a 2:0 lead in the second and third stanzas respectively.
