Defense ministers of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan sign coop plan for 2025
A delegation of Kazakhstan’s Defense Ministry led by Colonel General Ruslan Zhaksylykov arrived in Baku at the invitation of his Azerbaijani counterpart, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The militaries of Kazakhstan visited Baku ExpoCenter and surveyed the ADEX 5th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition.
On the sidelines of the event, Ruslan Zhaksylykov and Zakir Hasanov discussed bilateral cooperation issues.
Ruslan Zhaksylykov pointed out positive dynamics of interaction between the defense ministries of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, with more than 30 joint events organized. The military servicemen of Azerbaijan participated in Birlestik 2024 operational-tactical command and staff exercises and in Altyn Qyran 2024 joint tactical-special exercise .
Following the talks, a bilateral military cooperation plan between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan for year 2025 was signed. A memorandum of cooperation between the national defense universities was signed as well.
