Denis Ten skates to gold at Four Continents Figure Skating Championships

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstani figure skater and Olympic bronze medalist Denis Ten made history this weekend. Ten won gold and the first ISU figure skating title for Kazakhstan at the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships 2015 in Seoul, South Korea.

"One year after our Olympic triumph we've achieved new historic milestone. This time it is gold and the title of the Four Continents champion. This is why I'm doing this. I congratulate all Kazakhstanis on this outstanding event," Ten shared his joy with his fans via Instagram account.

Denis Ten earned the highest score - 289,46 points after the men's short program and freestyle.

Joshua Farris from the U.S. grabbed silver with 260.01 points. Bronze went to Chinese Han Yan with 259,47 points.

The ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships wrapped up on 15 February.
