Denis Ten to President Nazarbayev: Healthy lifestyle becomes trendy in Kazakhstan
At the forum, Ten told President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev about his massively popular ice show. "Last year, after I won the first ever Olympic medal in figure skating for Kazakhstan, I realized I want to launch a project that will benefit our country. This is how my ice show became reality. It has become very popular attracting fans even from foreign countries since it has no analogues in Central Asia," Denis Ten said at the forum. He reminded that after the show a five-day master class with the participation of the world's figure skating super stars was held for young athletes. "It was done to enhance the level of sports in Kazakhstan," Ten added. In his words, today it is safe to say that Kazakhstan has become a nation of sports lovers. "For instance, at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London Kazakhstan hauled 13 medals. 4 billion people witnessed our triumph. I'm really proud and happy I'm from Kazakhstan," the Olympic champion noted. He also stressed that sports and healthy lifestyle had become trendy in Kazakhstan.
