Denis Ten wants Almaty to host 2022 Winter Olympics

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstani figure skater Denis Ten dreams of seeing Almaty as the host city of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

The Sochi Olympics bronze medalist and the Four Continents title holder admitted at the press conference in Almaty on Tuesday that he wants Kazakhstan to host the upcoming Winter Olympics. Ten jetted off from Seoul to Almaty city just to support Almaty's bid to host the games. "Olympic games are like falling in love. You have to feel it. One cannot describes these feelings simply. I would love Kazakhstan to host the Olympic Games. This is my dream. The Olympics will breathe new life into the city and the country," he told the journalists. The Evaluation Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is currently in Almaty assessing the city's capacity to host the 2022 Olympic Games.
