Denis Yevseyev of Kazakhstan defeats former world No 8 Fabio Fognini at ATP tournament in China
Kazakhstan’s Denis Yevseyev is off to a good start at the ATP Challenger event in Shenzhen, China, Kazinform Agency cites the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.
Denis Yevseyev of Kazakhstan, currently ranked 260th, beat 2015 Australian Open doubles champion Fabio Fognini of Italy, ranked 128th, 6-4, 7-6 (9-6) in the first round of the 2023 Shenzhen 2 ATP Challenger Men’s singles tournament.
The Kazakhstani is next to meet Jie Cui of China (585th).
Earlier it was reported that Astana’s Alexey Lutsenko claimed the queen stage, Harold Tejada was 3rd at the Tour of Turkiye.
