Developing countries provided with preference for participation in EXPO-2017 - R.Zhoshybayev

ASTANA. December 7. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan proposed an assistance program for developing countries to help them take part in the exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana, Executive Secretary of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, national coordinator of the EXPO project in Kazakhstan Rapil Zhoshybayev informed.

"Developing countries will be provided with pavilions, tax-free delivery of equipment and a number of other preferences. In particular, Astana undertakes preparation of pavilions for African countries, South-East and Central Asian countries and others," the coordinator of the EXPO-2017 project said, Kazakh PM's website reported.

According to him, the main condition ensuring success of the international exhibition is participation of developing countries regardless of their financial capabilities.

"Alternative energy sources serve as the main condition for developing countries to reach the level of prosperity of developed countries. Presently, many countries implement projects on solar and wind energy. We believe they will be interested in the theme of the exhibition," he added.
