Development of cooperation with regions of Kazakhstan discussed in Utah

Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in San Francisco Nazira Nurbaeva paid a working visit to Salt Lake City,  to strengthen bilateral trade, as well as economic and cultural cooperation between regions of Kazakhstan and Utah, the press service of the Kazakh MFA reported Nov 24.

A meeting with the Lieutenant Governor of Utah Deidre Henderson focused on the issues of further development of strategic partnership between the regions.

Further, Consul General Nurbaeva held a business round table at the World Trade Center in Utah with business leaders and presented the investment potential of Kazakhstan.

In addition, negotiations were held with the leadership of the Utah Olympic Legacy Organization, the Utah Office of Tourism, and representatives of University of Utah.

As an important part of the visit, the Consul General met with the members of the Kazakh diaspora in Utah. Together they explored ideas of starting Kazakh language courses, a library of Kazakh books and other initiatives aimed at promoting cultural heritage.
