Dilma Rousseff elected Brazilian president

RIO DE JANEIRO. November 1. KAZINFORM The ruling Workers Party's candidate Dilma Rousseff has been elected Brazil's president, the South American country's Supreme Electoral Court said after processing 93.34% of the vote in Sunday's election runoff, Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.

Rousseff, who enjoys full support of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, gained the backing of 55.49% of voters and became the country's first female president.
