Dimash Qudaibergen receives Karic Brothers Foundation award in Serbia
On December 3, the city of Belgrade hosted the 26th edition of the Karic Brothers Foundation Awards Ceremony, Kazinform News Agency reports via dimashnews.com
In different years, among the awardees of the Karic Brothers Foundation Prize were world-famous figures in science, journalism, economics, culture and art, like Nobel Prize winner in Physics Zhores Alferov, Nobel Prize winner in Literature Peter Handke, first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, film director Emir Kusturica, tennis player Novak Djokovic, actor Steven Segal, ex-Secretary General of TURKSOY Dyussen Kaseinov.
This year the award was also presented to outstanding Kazakh vocalist Dimash Kudaibergen.
Dimash’s exceptional vocal skills, his incredible ability to combine various forms of performance in classical and modern style, unique ability to perform any note as a result of many years of work and study, enables to award him as a bright representative of Kazakhstan and a successful professional, the Board of Directors of the Karic Foundation says.
Our Board of Directors is unanimous that such an important artist deserves to continue the golden series of pioneers, visionaries and creators of the Prize, which will also strengthen the relations between our friendly countries, said Milanka Karic, Founder of the Karic Brothers Foundation, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Serbia.
The event was held in the National Theater of Belgrade, cultural heritage site, whic contributes to the preservation of Serbian culture and traditions.
On the magnificent stage of the National Theater, Dimash performed two different compositions: Kazakh folk song Samaltau and Igor Krutoy’s Mademoiselle Hyde, thus reflecting different facets of his creativity.
Dimash thanked the founders and the Board of Directors of the Karic Brothers Foundation for the award and noted an important role of international projects, including in the field of art as an opportunity to maintain friendship and mutual development between countries.
