Direct flights from Beijing to Bishkek to be open in 2024

New direct air routes will be opened between China and Kyrgyzstan, the Chinese Embassy in Bishkek reported, Kabar reports.

The diplomatic mission noted that in order to implement important agreements between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, the competent authorities of China and Kyrgyzstan are holding consultations and have come to a common opinion on opening new direct air routes between the two countries.

Thus, in the first quarter of 2024, it is planned to open a new flight on the Beijing – Bishkek – Beijing route, they will be operated by China Southern Airlines.

Also in December 2023, it is planned to open a new flight on the Chengdu - Bishkek - Chengdu route, they will be operated by Changlong Airlines.

“The Chinese side is ready, together with the Kyrgyz side, to continuously improve the level of contacts and promote new developments of cooperation in various fields between the two countries,” the Chinese Embassy said in a statement.
