Dismantling of flood-hit houses starts in Aktobe

Three flood-hit houses have been demolished in the Aktobe region, Kazinform News Agency cites the regional akimat.

The land plots of demolished houses will be returned to the state fund. These measures are implemented with the written consent of the homeowners, who will be provided with new apartments to replace the collapsed houses.
As of today, based on the results of the assessment commission's inspections, 190 houses have been identified as emergency housing and the residents of 75 of them have already been relocated to new housing. The apartments acquisition through the state fund and the resettlement of flood affected victims continues.
In the event that a resident's house is not in an emergency condition, they will be compensated to make the necessary repairs.
The deputy akim of the city stated that 75 emergency houses will be demolished as a result of the uninhabitable condition caused by flooding. The residents of these houses have already been relocated to new apartments, and the land will be returned to the state fund.
The owners have been granted a one-month period before the scheduled demolition to retrieve their retained property. Additionally, they may collect building materials during the demolition process.
The residents of the region were provided with an apartment in a newly constructed residence within the city limits. They expressed gratitude for this assistance. In previous years, their residence had also been flooded, but this was the first instance in which they had received such tangible support. They expressed their appreciation to the Head of State for his efforts to assist flood victims across the country.
