Dmitry Popko upset at 2024 Bad Waltersdorf Trophy in Austria
World No. 179 Dmitry Popko of Kazakhstan played his first match at the 2024 Bad Waltersdorf Trophy held in Austria, Kazinform News Agency reports citing Sports.kz.
The Kazakh athlete clashed with Thiago Seyboth Wild of Brazil (ranked 96th) in the Men’s Singles event. The Brazilian athlete beat Popko in three sets with a total score of 6:7, 6:2, 2:6. The game lasted 2 hours and 29 minutes.
The 2024 Bad Waltersdorf Trophy, a professional tennis tournament played on clay courts, is scheduled to take place in Austria between September 16-22.
Earlier it was reported that Team Kazakhstan were upset in the World Group I First Round of the Davis Cup 2024.
