Dozens rescued from snow drifts in Almaty rgn

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Rescuers of the Almaty regional emergency department evacuated 49 people, including 3 children, from a snow bank on a highway in the Almaty region.

The vehicles with passengers reportedly stuck in snow on the Taldykorgan-Kanal highway. The rescuers arrived just in time to lend a helping hand. No casualties were reported, according to the Ministry of Emergencies.
