Draft law «On Road Traffic» returned amended to Majilis
"As a result of the debate in committees it was found neccessary to make changes and additions to the bill approved by the Majilis", said Serik Akylbay, the chairman of the committee on constitutional law, judiciary system and law enforcement agencies.
He said that the bill would ban a driver and a passenger to leave the vehicle when it is stopped by officials of internal affairs, without his/her permission. Senators proposed to establish cases where police have the right to allow passenger and driver to leave a vehicle. Furthermore, senators proposed to withdraw the term "aggressive driving" as competing with some special articles of the Administrative Code of Kazakhstan.
After reviewing it was decided to send the bill as amended to the Majilis.
