Draft National Forestry Action Plan until 2020 considered

KOKSHETAU. August 14. KAZINFORM. /Zhanmurat Zhanaidarov/ Draft National Forestry Action Plan until 2020 has been considered at a scientific-practical conference in the Kazakh Research Institute of Forestry, Shchuchinsk.

The issues of development of forest management, vocational training, main directions of the national politics in the sphere of forestry, use of forest landscape for realization of "Zhasyl El" program as well as the landscape gardening were discussed at the meeting.

Chairman of the Forestry and Hunting Committee of the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture Yerlan Nysanbayev, President of "KazAgroInnovation" JSC Bayan Alimgozinova and other participants of the conference made proposals on solution of those issues.

Kazakhstan's forest resources exceed 27 million hectares. Out of them 12.28 million hectares are taken for forest lands with about 50% of haloxylon deserts.
