Drip irritation of 1,000 ha of land to be used in Atyrau rgn by 2015

ASTANA. September 27. KAZINFORM - By 2015 the Atyrau region will be using drip irrigation of 1,000 hectares of land. This has been stated by akim of the region Baktykozha Izmukhambetov at a press conference in "Kazmediacenter".

"In 2007 in our area by drip irrigation was watered 74 hectares of land, and in 2013 from the local budget we allocated additional 200 million tenge (KZT) and brought this figure up to 653 hectares," said the head of the region.

According to him in the area with the help of drip irrigation are grown vegetables, and "Atyrauagroproduktsiya" farm grows apples and grapes.
