Drug trafficking a big threat to us all - Kazakh President
ASTANA. April 25. KAZINFORM Drug trafficking is a big threat to us all, said Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in an interview with a leading Russian news channel "Russia 24".
"Now I do not see any military threat against us, there is no reason for it today. The threat may come from the South. Of course, the real threat is drug trafficking. Afghanistan continues to increase production of narcotic substances and their derivatives," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
In addition, the President noted that the Collective Security Treaty Organization was originally founded under the threat of penetration of terrorism and extremism into the territory of the Organization member states.
