Dushanbe marked Nauryz holiday

DUSHANBE. March 24. KAZINFORM. ?Baiterek? non-governmental organization under the aegis of Kazakh Embassy held celebration of Nauryz holiday in Dushanbe on March 22.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps, international organizations, governmental structures and non-governmental organizations of Tajikistan took part in the celebratory events; Kazinform refers to the embassy?s press service. Kazakh Ambassador Abutalip Akhmetov presented some books about the history and culture of Kazakh people to Baiterek organization. The participants were told about traditional Nauryz activities. They expressed interest in the Kazakh President?s annual address to the nation, social initiatives in terms of the world financial crisis. NGO ?Baiterek? was founded in November 2006 by the Kazakh Diaspora under the auspices of Kazakhstan?s Embassy to unite the Kazakhs residing in Tajikistan regions and strengthen ties with the historical motherland.
