Dust storm to blanket southern Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Strong wind will bring dust storm to southern Kazakhstan today, August 2, according to Kazhydromet.

It will be mainly sunny with no precipitation in Kazakhstan today. Meteorologists predict disturbed weather with occasional rains only in northern and eastern Kazakhstan. Wind gusting to 15-20m per sec with dust storm is expected in the Zhambyl, South Kazakhstan and Kyzylorda regions. Stiff wind and hail may hit the Karaganda, East Kazakhstan and East Kazakhstan regions. The North Kazakhstan and Kostanay regions will be steeped in fog. Extreme heat will persist in the Atyrau and Karaganda regions. Fire hazard remains extremely high in south-eastern and western Kazakhstan.
