E Kazakhstan industrial output hits KZT 2.1 trillion over 10 months, 103% up

Large industrial and investment projects aimed at the development of East Kazakhstan are being developed in line with the Kazakh President’s tasks, Kazinform News Agency reports.

East Kazakhstan leads in the industrial sector countrywide with its output reaching 2.1 trillion tenge, 103% up, governor Yermek Kosherbayev told a briefing at the central communications service.

He said all this proves the country’s economy is steadily developing despite all external challenges.

The governor highlighted 40 large investment projects worth 913 billion tenge are being developed in the region which will be commissioned until 2032.

10 projects up to 45.9 billion tenge will be completed by the yearend to generate 478 new jobs. Among the projects are the opening of a unique pharmaceuticals terminal and modernization of the gold works in Sekisovka, and the construction of the Altai wholesale distribution center.

As reported previously, this year nearly 11,200 hectares of sugar beet were cultivated in Zhambyl region with an average yield of 650 centners per hectare. Over the past five years sugar beet yield did not surpass 350 centners per hectare, Zhambyl region governor Yerbol Karashukeyev told a press conference at the central communications service.
