E-learning in Kazakhstan to cover about 5 mln people

ASTANA. March 19. KAZINFORM E-learning project is expected to cover more than five million Kazakhstanis.

Minister of Education and Science Bakytzhan Zhumagulov announced the news at the government session on Tuesday.

In his words, 581 organizations are involved into the project. In line with the education development state program, half of the educational institutions of the country will be engaged in the project by 2015 and 90% of them are believed to join by 2020.

"This is a large-scale project that will cover more than five million people, including students, teachers and parents as well. E-learning will be used at all levels - from kindergartens to universities and research centers," Mr. Zhumagulov added.
