Earthquake felt in Kazakhstan’s Aktau city

The network of seismic stations of the Kazakh Emergency Situations Ministry recorded an earthquake on December 7 at 10:15:40 a.m. Almaty time, Kazinform News Agency reports.

It was centered 2,289 km away from the city of Almaty in the territory of Azerbaijan, the Caspian Sea. The energy class is 14.3. The 5.7 MPV magnitude quake occurred at a depth of 35 km. The epicenter was recorded at 41.09° north latitude and 49.71° east longitude.

The quake was felt in the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, it said in a statement.
