Earthquake hits Atyrau region
An earthquake was registered in the territory of Atyrau region, near the city of Atyrau, Kazinform News Agency reports.
“The quake was recorded by the stations of the Institute of Geophysical Research of the National Nuclear Center. It occurred September 24, 2024 at 02:20 pm Astana time in the west of Kazakhstan. The coordinates of the epicenter are: 46.07° north latitude, 53.30° east longitude. The earthquake measured 4.1 on MB scale (body wave magnitude). Its energy class made K=9.2,” a statement from Kazakhstan National Data Center reads.
