Earthquake hits southwest of Almaty

An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the MPV scale was recorded southwest of Almaty city, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The epicenter of the quake was located in the territory of Tajikistan, 836 km southwest of Almaty.

The earthquake hit at a depth of 15 km at 7:24 pm Almaty time.
