Earthquake jolts Caspian Sea
According to the National Data Center, the quake occured December 30, at 01:14 am Astana time, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The coordinates of the epicenter are 41.54° north latitude, and 49.98° east longitude. Mb magnitude is 4, and energy class is 10.9. The quake occured at a depth of 11 kilometers.
Earlier, Kazinform reported that an earthquake hit 336 kilometers away from Almaty. Its epicenter was in the territory of China.
