Earthquake recorded near Almaty

An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the MPV scale was recorded 270km away from Almaty city at 6:41am today, Kazinform News Agency reports.  

The epicenter of the quake was located in the territory of China, 270 km southeast of Almaty city.

It hit at a depth of 5km.
