Earthquake rocks Almaty region

The network of seismic stations of the Kazakh Emergencies Ministry recorded an earthquake at 08:56 a.m., Kazinform News Agency reports.

The quake was centered 108 km east of Almaty in the territory of Kazakhstan at 43.13° degrees North latitude and 78.23° degrees East longitude.

The energy class is 9.1. The 4.4. MPV magnitude quake occurred at a depth of 15 km.

No tremors were felt in Kazakhstan.
