ALMATY. November 15. KAZINFORM /Yekaterina Ionova/ The role of science is quite important today because we took the course on industrial-innovative development and we understand that without implementing innovations in agro-industrial complex, without development of agriculture there will be no economic growth. Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev said it at the meeting with students and faculty of the Kazakh National Agrarian University.

"40-45% of the Kazakhstan population lives in rural area. The Government of the country spends huge funds for the development of the villages. Over the past years the country has exported 8 mln tons of grain. We rank the first in the world by export", the President said. He pointed out the necessity of new technologies for storage of finished products. Over KZT 11 mln is to be allocated from the budget for this purpose. The President also noted importance of implementation of drip irrigation, construction of greenhouses and development of cattle breeding.

"We should become a meat-exporting country. We have all necessary conditions for this and enough pastures. As it is said, where grain is there must be cattle-breeding. We must create conditions for increasing the number of brood animals", N. Nazarbayev said.
