Economic growth rates depend on human capital investment ? Education Minister
ASTANA. March 27. KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Kazakh Minister of Education and Science Zhanseit Tuimebayev has made a report at the Parliament hearings ?On the legislative framework for implementation of the Vocational Education Government Program? in the Majilis today.
The Minister briefed the attendees of the government measures on development of the vocational education system.
According to him, over KZT 14.4 billion will be budgeted into the occupational education of 146,500 people.
?It becomes clear that the rates of economic growth directly depend on the volume of investment into human capital?, the Minister said.
According to the index of human development Kazakhstan holds the 70th place. Among the CIS states it comes second only to Russia and Belarus. As for the index of general education in its annual report UNESCO places Kazakhstan on the first place among 129 countries.
By the index of general secondary education Kazakhstan ranks 51st due to insufficient development of vocational education.
