EEC representatives to convene in Brest to discuss entrepreneurship issues

BREST. KAZINFORM Brest will play host to the fifth meeting of the advisory committee for entrepreneurship at the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) on 22 August, BelTA learned from the EEC press service.

The meeting will focus on the issues related to entrepreneurship development and mechanisms of public-private partnership in the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space. The EEC representatives will discuss the changes in the legislation of the SES member states, which may have an impact on the business environment, and will make proposals on the elimination of administrative barriers to business, BelTA reports.

The meeting will be chaired by the member of the board (minister) for economy and financial policy Timur Suleimenov. His presentation will focus on the basic provisions of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) signed by the Presidents of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia in Astana on 29 May 2014. The director of the business development department at the EEC, executive secretary of the advisory committee Rustam Akberdin will make a presentation of section XV of the EEU Treaty "Trade in services and investment activities". A representative of the customs legislation and law enforcement department at the EEC will report on the fundamental novel concepts in the EEU draft Customs Code.

Prior to the meeting of the advisory committee, on 21 August, Brest will host the second and third meetings of the subcommittee to eliminate redundant barriers in foreign and mutual trade and investment.
