EEC seeks to cooperate with China in antimonopoly regulation

MOSCOW. July 18. KAZINFORM The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) intends to cooperate with China in the area of antimonopoly policy and antimonopoly regulation, reads the draft memorandum approved by the EEC Board. The draft document has been published on the EEC website, BelTA informed.

The National Development and Reform Commission will be party to the memorandum on the Chinese side. The sides have outlined the following areas of cooperation: the improvement of legal framework of competition policy; the implementation of concrete measures aimed at antimonopoly regulation and the development of competitive environment; cooperation in providing methodological assistance while carrying investigating into the violations of competitive (antimonopoly) legislation; facilitating scientific and methodological research in the field of competitive policy, antimonopoly regulation and competitive (antimonopoly) legislation.

Cooperation will be carried out by exchanging legal acts, statistical and reference materials, methodological recommendations and other documents in the field of competitive policy and antimonopoly regulation. The sides will also share experience of investigating the violations of competitive (antimonopoly) legislation, hold consultations on the regulation of legal relationship in the area of competitive policy and antimonopoly regulation, examine commodity markets and take other necessary measures.

Minister of Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission Nurlan Aldabergenov has been authorized to sign this memorandum on behalf of the EEC.
