Egypt's army ruler to give statement: TV

CAIRO. November 22. KAZINFORM The head of Egypt's ruling army council, Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, will deliver a statement to the nation on Tuesday, state television reported; Kazinform refers to Arab News.

State television, in a brief headline, initially said the statement would be issued shortly but then simply said it would be issued on Tuesday.

Cairo and some other cities have been convulsed by protests demanding an end military rule and the handover of power to civilians; Kazinform cites Arab News.
