Eight sets of medals at stake at 2014 Sochi Olympics Sunday
SOCHI. KAZINFORM Eight sets of medals will be at stake at the 2014 Sochi Olympics on Sunday for athletes competing in biathlon, alpine skiing, cross country skiing, ski jumping, luge, speed skating, snowboard and figure skating.

Russian athletes have good chances of winning medals in team figure skating, women biathlon sprint, men's skiathlon and in luge singles, ITAR-TASS reports. The Olympics morning competition will traditionally start at the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park course with semifinals in women snowboard slopestyle at 10:30. The finals will begin at 13:15. Russian athletes are not competing in this discipline while the most likely candidates to grab the medals are Australia's snowboarder Torah Bright, 2013 World Champion Spencer O'Brien of Canada, Cheryl Maas of the Netherlands and Christy Prior from New Zealand.
