Election is clear example of United Russia leading role in country's political life, President Nazarbayev

ASTANA. December 5. KAZINFORM Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has sent a telegram to Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin to congratulate on the landslide victory of the United Russia (Yedinaya Rossiya) Party in the election to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the President's press service reports.

"The election is an ample evidence of the leading role of the United Russia Party in the country's political life. I am confident that the United Russia will provide further dynamic advance of the Russian Federation on the way of the set socioeconomic reforms. We in Kazakhstan highly appreciate your personal contribution to the development of Kazakh-Russian cooperation, strengthening of friendship between the nations," the telegram reads.

Nursultan Nazarbayev wished Vladimir Putin good health and further gains in state and public activity.
