Electric pole almost kills garbage truck driver, passenger in Atyrau

ATYRAU. KAZINFORM - 5 people were injured in a road accident in Atyrau city on Monday, April 6.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Moldagulova and Zharbossynov streets when the VAZ-2115 and DRAC garbage truck collided in the center of the city. As a result, the garbage truck ended up ramming into an electric pole that crashed down on the cabin. Both the truck driver and his passenger were trapped inside the cabin and later were rushed into a hospital with severe leg injuries. The VAZ driver and two passengers also sustained various injuries and were hospitalized. The local police are currently investigating.
