Electric power generation in Kazakhstan exceeded consumption

ASTANA. November 12. KAZINFORM - For 10 months of 2013 production of electrical energy in the Republic of Kazakhstan has amounted to 74.8 billion kWh, with an increase of 2.9% over the corresponding period of the last year.

At that consumption was 73.1 billion kWh, or 1.3 % less than during the last year, according to the press service of the Committee for State Energy Supervision and Control of Industry Ministry.

Among the regions that have committed underproduction, there should be highlighted the East Kazakhstan (96.2 %), Kostanai (95.2 %), and South Kazakhstan (82.3 %) regions.

The leaders of the plan fulfillment for generatng electric energy are Zhambul (132.2 %), Karaganda (108.8 %), Atyrau (108.5 %), North Kazakhstan (108.2 %),and Almaty ( 108.2 %) regions.
