Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia had a round table on expansion of trade cooperation in CES
According to the press service of the diplomatic mission the event was attended by representatives from Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus, member of the Eurasian Economic Commission for Europe (ECE), business leaders, observers of leading Russian media, politicians, scientists, heads of research and analytical centers. The debates have been attended by more than 150 specialists.
During the event, the sides exchanged views on the prospects of multilateral collaboration in the framework of the Common Economic Space (CES), on overcoming the barriers to the expansion of trade relations and the rapid development of integration processes.
Opening the panel the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia Galym Orazbakov noted that the real, long-term, effective integration is possible under such basic principles as pragmatism and economic feasibility. The Ambassador stressed the need to expand commodity headings in mutual trade.
In his speech the First Deputy Chairman of "Union" Atameken " Rahim Oshakbaev reported that there were a number of outstanding issues in the field of commerce related with defending the interests of the CES states' national producers. In his opinion that requires immediate institutionalization of interaction between business communities of the three countries including the development of a supranational legal framework.
Member of the Board (the Minister) in economics and financial policy of CES Timur Suleimenov, in his turn, encouraged the businesses to escalate cooperation of CES states. Among the measures needed to extend bilateral trade T. Suleymenov outlined the need to diversify the economies of the CES states, the harmonization of national legislation, and etc.
In general, the event was a comprehensive dialogue on all spheres of interaction. The Russian expert community has become greatly interested in the agenda issues.
