Emmanuel Macron offers condolences to bereaved families of Karaganda miners

France President Emmanuel Macron extended his condolences to the bereaved families of miners killed in the Kostenko mine incident during his official visit to Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports. 

“I would like to extend the condolences on behalf of my people and say how deeply saddened we are by the tragedy that happened in Karaganda. I would like to once again offer my condolences to the bereaved families,” the French President said during the bilateral talks in the extended format in Astana.

Macron went on to thank the Kazakh counterpart for the invitation to come to Kazakhstan.

Earlier Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Emmanuel Macron held bilateral talks in the narrow format in the Akorda presidential residence.
