Ensuring children’s safety has always been in the spotlight of state – Erlan Karin

State Counselor Erlan Karin has held today a meeting with the minister of enlightenment, minister of culture and information, representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office, National Security Committee, Internal Affairs Ministry, structural units of the President’s Executive Office and Children’s Rights Commissioner, Kazinform News Agency learned from the press service of Akorda.

The meeting discussed the course of implementation of systemic and prompt measures of ensuring children’s safety and protection of their rights, countering crimes, as well as prevention of suicides among the minors.

Erlan Karin noted that ensuring children’s safety has always been in the spotlight of the state. He underscored the need to develop a systemic approach and common coordination of the activity of governmental agencies in children’s safety issues, as well as their protection from unlawful content, including jointly with the civil institutions and parents.

At the end of the meeting, Erlan Karin gave a number of certain tasks to the governmental agencies to enhance interdepartmental coordination and interaction.
